Most slab problems come down to what is underneath. Slabs laid on a poor base sink and rock; joints left unpointed wash out and grow weeds; and a path laid dead flat holds every shower as a puddle. We lift the affected slabs, sort the base properly and relay them level, with falls that carry rainwater away from the house and the path.
We take on the honest-sized jobs: relaying uneven or rocking slabs, repointing joints, replacing broken slabs with the closest match we can source, and laying new paths and small patios. We are straight about scope too. Full driveways and monoblock are a different trade with different kit, and if that is what your job needs we will say so rather than take it on.
Where slabs have sunk beside the house, it is worth checking why. A leaking gutter or downpipe dumping water into the same spot for years will wash out the base under any path. If that is the cause we can fix the gutter too, so the new slabs stay where we put them.

Can you relay existing slabs or do I need new ones?
If the slabs themselves are sound, relaying them on a properly prepared base is usually the best value, and it keeps the paving matching the rest of the garden. Cracked or crumbling slabs are worth replacing, and we will source the closest match we can. We tell you which before quoting.
How much does slabbing cost in Alloa?
